A joint report prepared by Sidar Global Advisors (SGA) for TUSIAD and USCC (United States Chamber of Commerce) entitled “US-Turkish Economic Relations in a New Era: Analysis and Recommendations for a Stronger Strategic Partnership” was launched on March 14, 2012, in an event hosted by the USCC in Washington, DC.

The US Assistant Secretary of Commerce Michael Camuñez delivered the keynote speech in the event. Speakers included Peter Rashish, Vice President for Europe and Eurasia at the USCC, Bahadır Kaleağası, International Coordinator of TUSIAD, Timur Söylemez, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Turkish Embassy in Washington, DC, and SGA managing director Cenk Sidar.

The report examines the current state of US-Turkey economic relations, including the political and legal contexts governing trade and investment in both countries, challenges and opportunities in both markets and offers strategic recommendations for both the business community and policymakers on both sides.

The report will be launched in Turkey on April 12, 2012 within “Turkey-USA Business Forum,” a TUSIAD-USCC joint event to be held in Istanbul.
