The United States does not want to see a return to violence in Turkey, Washington’s envoy to Ankara has said, urging both the government and the Kurdish movement to remain committed to the peace process.

OSCE notes concerns over president’s ‘active campaign’ ahead of June vote
In the run-up to the June 7 parliamentary elections, the top European security body has highlighted concerns in Turkey over incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s “active role in the campaign,” as they have recommended the deployment of a team in order to observe the election.

Kurdish regional gov’t to raise oil exports to Turkey
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq will increase its oil exports to Turkey and deliver up to 625,000 barrels per day starting from June, an official from the KRG parliament announced on April 29.
