Organizational Chart COMMISSIONS/WORKING GROUPS EXTERNAL RELATIONS COMMISSION President: Cem Duna Rapporteur: Zafer Gazi The External Relations Commission carries out tasks for a better promotion of Turkey in the international platform; implements joint actions with its representations in Brussels and Washington D.C.; develops policy solutions to Turkey's challenges in its adjustment process with the EU and the customs union; formulates TUSIAD's views on Turkey's main foreign policy issues. Working Groups Under External Relations Commission Foreign Trade Policies Foreign Direct Investment Free Movement of Services ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION (ECOFIN) President: Omer Aras Rapporteur: Alp Bastug ECOFIN seeks to promote competitiveness of the Turkish industrial and service sectors on the basis of free market principles, in a bid to foster integration within the international economic system. ECOFIN, an influential body in policy-making pertaining to economic areas, aims to establish proper policies in line with entrepreneurship merits, and achieve sustainable and robust economic growth. ECOFIN monitors recent domestic and international economic developments. ECOFIN provides feedback to Board of Directors and other main commissions through its extensive analyses on government economic policies or macroeconomic forecasts. Working Groups Under Economic And Financial Affairs Commission Taxation & Financial Control Banking Agriculture Macroeconomic Policy INDUSTRIAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION President: Agah Ugur Rapporteur: Alper Ucok Industrial Affairs Commission evaluates global sectoral developments in terms of production, investment, competition, and finance; monitors the developments and new tendencies with respect to European Union's industry; prepares research papers and analysis reports regarding these issues; conveys these studies to the government, private sector, public opinion, and other parties concerned. Working Groups Under Industrial Affairs Commission Environment Industrial Policy and Free Movement of Goods Defense industry Energy COMPANY AFFAIRS COMMISSION President: Ali Kibar Rapporteur: Hande Goksoy Company Affairs Commission evaluates worldwide developments that are of direct relevance to companies in terms of investment, competition, legislative and managerial framework; determines the factors that affect the competitiveness of Turkish companies and strengthening their competitiveness; monitors the developments and new tendencies in the European Union which are closely related to companies; conducts research regarding these issues and conveys the results to the parties concerned. Working Groups Under Company Affairs Commission Competition Law Intellectual Rights Consumer Protection Corporate Governance Financial Reporting SOCIAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION President: Arzuhan Yalcindag Rapporteur: Fecir Alptekin Social Affairs Commission acts as a follow-up body for developments on social policy issues such as education, equal opportunities, health and employment in both national and international level. The Committee develops its agenda through its members and/or the working groups. The Commission conducts research and prepares position papers and reports on various social issues. Throughout its assessment process, Commission maintains complete impartiality in terms of its contacts with political parties.
