BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors consists of ten members, elected for two years by a secret ballot of TUSIAD General Assembly members. A member may be reelected. The Secretary General is a permanent member of the Board. During its first meeting following its election, the Board elects a chairman, three deputy chairmen and an auditor by open ballot for two years. The Chairman of the Board of Directors may be elected for two consecutive terms or reelected after one term out of office.
Function and Jurisdiction of the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors shall:
a) represent the Association or authorize one or more members to do so;
b) deal with financial matters and prepare the budget;
c) notify the relevant authorities when a non-resident is admitted as a member;
d) act on matters entrusted to it by the By-Laws;
e) decide on fees and dues in keeping with the budget;
f) elect and authorize an Executive Committee from among its members;
g) take all necessary measures against members whose fees and dues are in arrears;
h) appoint and determine the duties of a Secretary General;
i) elect and authorize three full members to a "New Member Evaluation Board".
